The Statement of Affairs was prepared under section 18 of the Freedom of Information Act 1992. It was designed as a guide for people who wish to access information held by the department and has now been replaced by the Right to Information section of this site.
When the Right to Information Act 2009 was enforced the Statement of Affairs became redundant. Information that was collected for the Statement of Affairs is now captured on the department's publications listing.
