The Wide Bay Burnett State Planning Regulatory Provisions 2011 (
582 KB) were released and took effect on 29 September 2011 and will assist in the implementation of the Wide Bay Burnett Regional Plan.
They have been prepared under Chapter 2, Part 2 of the Sustainable Planning Act 2009.
Relevant provisions include:
- restrictions on urban development outside the Urban Footprint
- a regional land use map that indicates areas which are to be protected as Regional Landscape and Rural Production Areas (RLRPAs) or Rural Living Areas, and areas which are designated as Urban Footprint
- restrictions on development within development areas, where development is inconsistent with the future planning intent.
Regulatory maps have been prepared for the region to support the State Planning Regulatory Provisions 2011.
